Campus Tour and Phuket Cultural Visits for 8th Youth Innovation Competition on Lancang-Mekong Region’s Governance and Development (YICMG 2024) Participants

From July 9th to 11th, 2024, the International Affairs Centre (IAC) organized a series of campus tours and cultural visits in Phuket for participants of the 8th Youth Innovation Competition on Lancang-Mekong Region’s Governance and Development (YICMG 2024).

On July 9th, the program commenced with a campus tour that included a group of VIP guests from six Mekong River countries: China, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. During this tour, participants had the opportunity to meet faculty representatives, learn more about the faculties, and explore the facilities, including laboratories and classrooms. Additionally, they had a chance to try local Thai fruits and desserts, enhancing their cultural experience.

Following the campus tour, on July 10th and 11th, IAC arranged a full-day cultural visit in Phuket for a group of 150 participants, including VIP guests, experts, and contestants. The itinerary featured visits to tourist attractions such as Promthep Cape, Chalong Temple, Nai Harn Beach, Phuket Old Town, and local restaurants. This cultural visit allowed everyone to discover new places and engage in various activities. Fortunately, the weather was favorable throughout the trip, enabling everyone to fully enjoy the experience. We hope the participants cherished exploring these locations and created unforgettable memories from their cultural visit.
