Delegation from Altai State Pedagogical University, Russia, Visited PSU Phuket and Hosted Russian Language Course for Beginners

   On December 16, 2024, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Phuket Campus, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pun Thongchumnum, Vice President for PSU Phuket Campus; Dr. Tagsina Sripracha, Assistant President for International Affairs, Phuket Campus; and representatives from the Faculty of International Studies (FIS), including Asst. Prof. Dr. Woralak Bancha, Associate Dean for Academic and International Affairs, and Mr. Jirameth Rungruang, Associate Dean for Administration, Quality Assurance and Academic Services, along with staff from the International Affairs Centre (IAC), extended a warm welcome to a delegate from Altai State Pedagogical University, Russia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mikhail Vlasov, Head of the Research Department.

The meeting was held on the 3rd floor of the President’s Office Building (Bldg. 7). The purpose of the visit was to officially conclude the Russian Language Course and related activities that have been conducted at PSU Phuket over the past year, both onsite and online.

In the afternoon, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mikhail Vlasov wrapped up the Fun Spoken Russian for Beginners course, which had been offered throughout the year at PSU Phuket, both onsite and online. The course activities included personalized feedback, interactive conversation sessions, and discussions on best practices for learning Russian. Recommendations for language learning methods and potential areas for further cooperation were also discussed. By the end of the class, certificates were given to the participants and the group photo was taken, marking a successful end to this enriching language learning initiative. 

Ultimately, these activities have fostered stronger ties between the universities and effectively addressed the growing demand for Russian language learning among the Thai people.
