On November 18, 2025, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pun Thongchumnum, Vice President for PSU Phuket, warmly welcomed Mr. Mochammad Rizki Safary, Consul of the Republic of Indonesia in Songkhla, together with accompanying delegates. The visit aimed to strengthen strategic partnerships and promote cultural exchange between Thailand and Indonesia.

The visit began with a discussion between the Vice President for PSU Phuket and the Consul, focusing on potential cooperation in student exchange programmes, joint research, and future academic collaboration between the two countries. Following the meeting, the Consul delivered a lecture to students from Srinagarindra the Princess Mother College Phuket and PSU Phuket, sharing valuable insights into Indonesia’s diverse society and contemporary culture.

The highlight of the visit was a hands-on cooking workshop featuring “Seblak,” a popular Indonesian street food. The activity created a lively and engaging atmosphere, with introductions led by PSU Phuket international students. Participants enjoyed preparing and tasting their own dishes while gaining a deeper appreciation of Indonesian cuisine and the rich cultural heritage of Thailand’s ASEAN neighbour.

This meaningful exchange strengthened the foundation for future cooperation and reflected PSU Phuket’s commitment to fostering international learning experiences and cross-cultural understanding.
