On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, the International Affairs Centre (IAC) organized a heartwarming charity activity at Phuket Sunshine Village Foundation (PSV), a home for underprivileged children in Phuket. The meaningful event brought together 21 participants, including international and Thai students, along with IAC staff.
The visit started with a short video about PSV’s journey since its founding in 2005. The video featured inspiring stories from former PSV children, now adults, who shared how the foundation’s support shaped their lives. PSV staff then gave a glimpse into the children’s daily routines, helping participants understand the care and guidance provided to them.
The main activity of the day was the Animal Handprint Drawing activity, where 22 children joined the participants to create their masterpieces. At first, the atmosphere was quiet, as the kids were a bit shy and hesitant to interact with the international students due to the language barrier. But as time went on, the atmosphere became relaxed and lively. In the end, eight standout artworks were selected, and the young artists proudly received their prizes.
Before wrapping up, donations were presented to the foundation, followed by a cheerful group photo. The event concluded with an entertaining student performance, bringing laughter to both participants and children. This heartwarming experience created lasting memories and reinforced the value of community engagement and giving back.
