PSU Phuket Welcomed Delegates from Sichuan Normal University, China to Establish Educational Collaboration

On March 28, 2025 Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus (PSU Phuket), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pun Thongchumnum, Vice President for PSU Phuket Campus; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prathana Kannaovakun, Dean of Faculty of International Studies (FIS); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornpisanu Promsivapallop, Dean of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism (FHT); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Werapong Kerdsin, Dean of Faculty of Technology and Environment (FTE); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aziz Nanthaamornphong, Dean of College of Computing (CoC); Dr. Tagsina Sripracha, Assistant President for International Affairs, Phuket Campus; along with staff representatives from the International Affairs Centre (IAC) and the faculties, extended a warm welcome to delegates from Sichuan Normal University (SNU), China, led by Mr. Kang Sheng, Director of the Party and Government Office; along with representatives from SNU. The meeting took place on the 3rd floor of the President’s Office Building (Bldg. 7).

The visit aimed to officially foster further collaboration between SNU and PSU Phuket, including providing opportunities for graduate students from SNU to support Chinese teaching in Thailand, the establishment of Joint Program 3+1 and internship bases, and promoting educational exchange and cooperation between Thailand and Sichuan province. Additionally, the delegates explored the PSU Phuket campus, recognized as an outstanding learning center known for both academic excellence and its international appeal, making it one of leading educational destinations.

Ultimately, this visit not only strengthens educational cooperation between Thailand and China but also opens new opportunities for students interested in studying at PSU Phuket.
