PSU Phuket Welcomed Delegation from University of Hyogo, Japan to Strengthen Academic Collaboration

On June 23, 2025, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus (PSU Phuket), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pun Thongchumnum, Vice President for Phuket Campus; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornpisanu Promsivapallop, Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aziz Nanthaamornphong, Dean of the College of Computing; along with the PSU Phuket administrative team, extended a warm welcome to a delegation from the University of Hyogo, Japan, led by Prof. Dr. Ikuya Kano, Vice President, and Mr. Prapakorn Yodtomorn, International Coordinator. The meeting was held on the 3rd floor of the President’s Office Building (Bldg. 7).
The purpose of this visit was to explore potential collaboration between the University of Hyogo and PSU Phuket, particularly with the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism and the College of Computing. Discussions focused on a range of initiatives, including short- and long-term student exchange programs, academic staff mobility, joint research projects, scholarships, and internship opportunities.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the University of Hyogo Representative Office located at PSU Phuket, followed by a tour of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism and the College of Computing. This visit provided valuable insight into PSU’s facilities and the campus’s readiness to support international academic cooperation.
It marks an important step towards strengthening the academic partnership between PSU Phuket and the University of Hyogo, fostering internationalization and educational excellence.
