The 19th Annual Review Meeting of the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Programme in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

On November 4–7, 2025, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus, was represented by Dr. Tagsina Sripracha, Assistant President for International Affairs; Dr. Krittabhas Khwanyuen, Deputy Dean for Academic and International Affairs, Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism (FHT); and Mr. Nitiphoom Waitira, Acting Head of the International Affairs Centre (IAC), at the 19th Annual Review Meeting of the Asian International Mobility for Students (AIMS) Programme in Putrajaya, Malaysia. The meeting was hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, in collaboration with the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Higher Education and Development (RIHED).

The AIMS Programme is a flagship regional initiative that promotes student and academic mobility and strengthens cooperation in higher education across Southeast Asia and beyond. As one of Thailand’s participating institutions, PSU Phuket actively supports outbound and inbound student mobility under the programme. In particular, the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism (FHT) has attracted strong interest from partner institutions. In this regard, the IAC and FHT participated in the meeting to support and follow up on ongoing international collaboration under the AIMS Programme.

The annual review meeting serves as a key platform for government representatives, universities, students, and alumni to exchange insights, share updates, and collaborate on the advancement of regional student mobility. This year, discussions focused on the AIMS Operational Plan for the next 18 months, including the AIMS Strategic Framework 2026–2028 (Bacolod Strategy), the AIMS Talent Development Model, the AIMS Student Experience and Competence Framework, and the Da Nang Objectives.

In addition, participants also joined parallel discussion sessions and University Social Responsibility (USR) activities reinforcing multi-level engagement and promoting environmental sustainability within the local communities .

Overall, the meeting provided a valuable opportunity for AIMS partner institutions across Asia to review programme management, share best practices, and strengthen networks for future collaboration.
