Bunkyo Short Course Program 2026

On February 15, 2026, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus (PSU Phuket), was pleased to welcome seven students from Bunkyo University for the Bunkyo Short Course Program 2026. Over the next 12 weeks (February 15 – May 9, 2026), the students will take part in a meaningful combination of academic learning and Thai cultural experiences in Phuket

Upon arrival, the Bunkyo students were warmly greeted by their PSU Thai buddies and the International Affairs Centre (IAC) staff. The buddies assisted them with settling into their accommodation, arranging daily necessities, and getting to know one another - creating a friendly and supportive start to their time at PSU Phuket.

The program began the following day with a welcoming Opening Ceremony, followed by an orientation session led by the IAC team. The students received useful information about studying at PSU Phuket and living in Phuket. They also joined a campus tour to explore their new learning environment, become familiar with the facilities, and gradually feel at home.

In the afternoon, Thai buddies continued their support by accompanying the Bunkyo students to purchase PSU uniforms in preparation for their first day of classes. The group also enjoyed a cultural visit to Phuket Old Town, where they appreciated the charming Sino-Portuguese architecture, learned more about Phuket’s multicultural heritage, and shared many memorable moments together.

With such a warm and positive beginning, the next 12 weeks are expected to be both meaningful and memorable.
