PSU Phuket Strengthened Academic Collaboration with Youngsan University, Republic of Korea

On April 30, 2026, Prince of Songkla University, Phuket Campus (PSU Phuket), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pun Thongchumnum, Vice President for PSU Phuket, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pornpisanu Promsivapallop, Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism (FHT), warmly welcomed a delegation from the Youngsan University (YSU), Republic of Korea, led by Dr. Kyung-Whi Kwon, Vice President for Academic Affairs.
During the meeting, both universities exchanged insights on international programmes, student support, and future academic collaboration. The YSU delegation expressed strong interest in developing practical and forward-looking cooperation with FHT, particularly under the framework of the THE (Tourism & Hospitality Education) Alliance, including academic exchange, joint programmes, student mobility initiatives, as well as joint research and faculty collaboration.
In addition, as both institutions are members of the CAMPUS Asia–AIMS Programme, they also discussed enhancing international student mobility within this framework.
Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to a mutually beneficial partnership and to advancing hospitality and tourism education at the international level.
